Princess Chair

Every girl wants to be a princess, and a princess needs a fancy chair to sit on! I found this chair at a garage sale for $10. With some paint, sparkly fabric, and some imagination a princess chair was transformed!

Chair found at garage sale for $10! I liked it because it has an upholstered seat that can be recovered with shiny sparkly fabric! This chair is also very good quality...solid wood and does not have any nicks or scrapes that I will have to sand down.

Once I removed the cushion, I removed the old fabric and stapled on new shiny fabric. I then stapled and gathered sparkly tulle (remember the idea is sparkly princess!) all around the perimeter. I don't have a picture of the next couple steps but next I lightly sanded the frame of the chair, sprayed with primer, and brushed on a couple coats of white latex paint.

At this point I did not secure the cushion yet. I still had to add the stickers, gems, and the name! I attached the stickers and gems with gorilla super glue.

Finished product! After all the gems and stickers were attached, I bolted the seat cushion back on. I then added some tied ribbon.

Be creative! You can make this chair for a boy or girl! My daughter said she wants me to make her a soccer chair.....ahhh. On to my next adventure.....
